JOB OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced, Aramco-certified Rigger Level III for a major offshore platform construction project in Jubail. The successful candidate will work as part of a specialized rigging team supporting heavy lift operations, equipment installation, and structural assembly for a leading Oil & Gas contractor.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan and execute complex rigging operations for heavy equipment and structural components
- Calculate load weights, select appropriate rigging equipment, and determine safe lift procedures
- Supervise and coordinate with rigging teams and crane operators during lift operations
- Conduct pre-lift safety inspections of rigging equipment, slings, shackles, and lifting gear
- Ensure all rigging operations comply with Aramco safety standards and project specifications
- Maintain accurate rigging logs and lift documentation
- Participate in daily toolbox talks and safety briefings
- Mentor and provide guidance to Level I and Level II riggers
- Report any safety concerns or equipment defects to HSE team immediately
- Follow all site-specific safety protocols and work permit procedures
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Essential:
✓ Aramco Rigger Level III Certification (Current and valid)
✓ Minimum 7 years rigging experience in Oil & Gas, Marine, or heavy industrial environments
✓ Valid Saudi Iqama (Transferable preferred)
✓ BOSIET/HUET Certification (for offshore work)
✓ Physical fitness to work in demanding offshore environments
✓ English language proficiency (reading technical documents and safety procedures)
Preferred:
✓ Previous experience on offshore platform projects
✓ Familiarity with Saudi Aramco safety standards and protocols
✓ Heavy lift experience (loads exceeding 50 tons)
✓ Basic crane signal person training
✓ First Aid certification
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Expert knowledge of rigging equipment selection and application
- Proficient in load calculation and center of gravity determination
- Understanding of crane capacities and lift planning procedures
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and lift plans
- Knowledge of ASME B30 rigging standards
- Familiarity with offshore lifting operations and marine environment challenges
WORKING CONDITIONS
Schedule: Rotational (28 days on / 28 days off)
Work Hours: 12-hour shifts (day and night rotation)
Environment: Offshore platform (marine environment)
Physical Requirements: Ability to climb, work at heights, lift 25kg, work in confined spaces
